My price estimation for Hallowed Moonlight will be around at 0.75 to 1.00 tix ranges. I think we may also see some action from Hallowed Moonlight in Standard format, against graveyard, Collected Company or a possible See the Unwritten (with Dragons or Eldrazi ?) approach. Until that time, Hallowed Moonlight will close that gap in the Modern. Containment Priest might be too powerful for the current Modern format. Or, it may see some main deck play in a certain meta. Hallowed Moonlight will definitely find a place in many sideboards. And more importantly, this package comes with a cantrip bonus. Basically, Hallowed Moonlight will hose any of the Æther Vial, Collected Company, Chord of Calling, Goryo's Vengeance, Through the Breach and tokens strategies. Hallowed Moonlight is one of the few cards in Magic Origins that will immediately make an impact on the Modern meta. My price expectation for Vryn Wingmare will be around 0.25 to 0.40 tix in the mid-term with a possibility to hit 1.00-1.50 tix ranges within a specific meta bubble. In Standard, this pegasus can easily find a place in white weenie decks or in the sideboard of Abzan aggro decks. The combination of Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Vryn Wingmare can heavily punish some decks with lower land quantity, such as Delver or Burn. I see it as an improved Glowrider for the Modern format. I don't know you, but I'm really thrilled for Vryn Wingmare. Regardless of this entertaining deck possibility, the time is passing and I should get back on track and continue to review these new cards with a financial perspective. Now is the best time to unleash the mad scientist inside us! There is a heavy thopter support at blue and red, mostly for the limited formats. We might even see some rogue decks in Standard that are shaped around this new thopter theme with Ensoul Artifact and Shrapnel Blast. The long forgotten, yet still freely flying after all those years thopters. But, that's not all!Ĭhandra's origin story unexpectedly touches some of the underdog tribes. In that regard, I'm glad that we get some exciting additions at Elf, Goblin and Merfolk ranks. Last week, I mentioned that I hoped to see some new tribal cards. Hello everyone and welcome to the second part of the Magic Origins financial set review series.
